Food is
very important for me and for my family to go through the life. It is natural
that people should eat food to get energy. Without food people can’t leave. It
is as usual for me too. Me and my kids, we eat food three to four times a day. We
eat breakfast that I make every morning. Whole week I don’t use same food for
breakfast. I change the menu every day. Though my cultural food is rice but we
eat bread at morning. I made bread with wheat flour called “Atta” that I eat
every morning with vegetables. For my kids I make eggs sandwiches, bread with
butter, with jelly, with jelly cream cheese, with peanut butter and jelly, soup,
and sometimes I cook pasta that my kids favorite food . For lunch and dinner I
cook my cultural food like: rice, fish, vegetables, and meat. I eat my food
with my family and sometimes alone because of schedules differences. About
shopping, I do it because my husband does not understand what he should buy and
what my kids like. There are many especial occasion when I cook my cultural
food. Except that, my kids like to eat my cultural rich food what I have to
cook most of the time. I don’t eat out side food and my kids eat barely. I did
not work as a cook, waiter, or meat packer.
